Licensed Radon Mitigation Systems for Ohio Homes
If your home tests above 4.0 pCi/L, Carl designs and installs a custom radon mitigation system — guaranteed to reduce levels to safe limits. Professional installation, clean workmanship, and results that last.

Radon Mitigation in Ohio
Active Sub-Slab Depressurization (ASD) creates a zone of lower pressure beneath your foundation slab, drawing radon out of the soil before it ever enters your home. Carl assesses your foundation type, soil conditions, and construction — then designs the most effective system for your specific situation.
Every installation comes with a written guarantee: below 4.0 pCi/L, or Carl returns and corrects the system at no charge. Post-mitigation testing is always included to confirm results.

Our Radon Mitigation Process
Transparent, professional, and designed around your family — not around our schedule.
Assessment
Carl inspects your foundation type, tests sub-slab communication with a diagnostic probe, and identifies the optimal suction point — before any drilling begins.
Design
He designs a custom system for your home’s specific conditions — pipe routing, fan sizing, penetration points — and walks you through the plan before work starts.
Installation
Carl core-drills a small hole through the slab, inserts a PVC suction pipe, connects a radon fan, and routes pipe to discharge safely above the roofline.
Verification
A post-mitigation radon test confirms levels are below 4.0 pCi/L. Carl doesn’t consider the job done until the numbers prove it.

How does Active Sub-Slab Depressurization (ASD) work?
ASD inserts a suction pipe into the sub-slab soil and connects it to a continuously running fan. The resulting negative pressure zone draws radon away from your foundation before it can enter your home, venting it safely above the roofline.
What foundation types can you mitigate?
All common Ohio foundation types. Full basements use sub-slab depressurization and/or block wall suction. Crawl spaces use sub-membrane depressurization. Slab-on-grade uses sub-slab suction. Mixed foundations receive a combination system addressing each zone.
Will a mitigation system affect my heating or cooling bills?
Minimal impact. The fans we use consume 15–90 watts — similar to a light bulb. The system draws from beneath the slab, not conditioned interior air. Most homeowners see no measurable change in utility bills.
How much does radon mitigation cost in Ohio?
Most residential systems range $800–$1,500 depending on foundation type, home size, and pipe routing complexity. We provide a free, no-obligation estimate before any work begins.
How long does installation take?
Most single-zone systems are installed in 3–5 hours. Complex systems — multiple suction points, crawl space encapsulation, finished basement routing — may take a full day. We work cleanly and leave no mess.
Do mitigation systems require maintenance?
Radon fans are designed to run continuously and last 5–10+ years. We recommend a visual check annually and a radon test every 2 years to confirm ongoing effectiveness. If your fan has degraded or failed, we offer professional radon fan replacement for any brand of system — with post-replacement testing to confirm results.
My neighbor had a mitigation system installed. Do I need one too?
Not necessarily. Radon levels vary home-by-home based on foundation type, sub-slab soil, and ventilation — even on the same street. Your neighbor’s result is a good reason to test, but only your test can determine whether you need mitigation.
Can I sell my home if it has a radon mitigation system?
Yes — and a professionally installed, performing system is often a selling advantage. Buyers appreciate transparency. We provide installation documentation and post-mitigation test results for your real estate file.
